The Council on Aging of Volusia County offers Senior Citizens a variety of programs throughout the week at Wava Hall, a part of the municipal complex on Holly Avenue, behind Town Hall.

Wava Senior Center Mission Statement “Committed to working with and for senior citizens to develop activities and services that support their efforts to remain healthy, active and independent.”
This Senior Center facility is a multi-purpose facility constructed in 2002 with funds donated by the late Wava Lindstrom to serve the City’s senior residents. Orange City has contracted with the Council On Aging to offer programming activities to help meet the social, recreational, informational and wellness needs of older adults.
Operating Hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Membership is available to persons 55 years of age or older. Yearly membership is $10.00 for Orange City residents and $12.00 for non-residents. Many activities are free to members. Activities, classes and trips are listed in “Wava Hall Newsletter”, published monthly, by the Council on Aging of Volusia County. The monthly newsletter is mailed to all members. Wava Hall is available for evening and weekend use for senior groups, meetings or other gatherings. Maximum occupancy 89. Room can be divided. Sink and refrigerator on site.
