Utilities Improvements – E Graves Ave.

On Thursday, February  2, 2023, the City will be performing utilities improvements on E. Graves Avenue between Veteran Memorial Parkway and Kentucky Avenue. This job will be subject to a lane closure along E. Graves Avenue between these two roadways. One travel lane will be maintained and flaggers will be used to slow traffic thru work area. The work will be carried out at night from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am, weather conditions permitting.

Book Drive – Children’s Books Needed

Orange City’s Youth Advisory Council needs children’s books for an upcoming Reading in the Park event!  If you have any used or new children’s books that you do not need anymore – pre-school, elementary and middle school-aged preferred – please donate them.  Book donation boxes are located in City Hall, 205 E. Graves Ave, and in the City Clerk’s Office, 229 E. Graves Ave. The book donation ends January 26. Thank you for your support!

Temporary Park Closure – Colin’s Dream Skate Park

Colin’s Dream Skate Park at Coleman Park is currently closed for construction.  Decking is being installed and it may take up to 90 days for construction to be completed.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we hope this improvement is something the skate park users will enjoy. The Coleman Park basketball court, Evelyn D. Robinson Playground and pavilion are open during the construction.

Water Quality Improvements Underway

Orange City’s water system has undergone significant rehabilitation over the past several years with more underway. The City of Orange City Public Works Department (Utilities Division) started construction on a project to improve potable water quality in Orange City.
